Walker Horse

This is a fun piece of equipment that is used to facilitate walking. It is best suited to a child with independent sitting balance and able to use their upper limbs to hold the handlebars.

It is useful in preventing a scissor gait pattern whilst practising walking in a therapeutic setting. While being facilitated by the caregiver the child is encouraged to weight bear through their lower limbs, laterally shift weight through lower limbs and trunk and to take reciprocal steps.

It should only be used with attendance of a caregiver or parent.
