Alena’s Love is a daycare centre for precious children, a place where children with disabilities, mainly cerebral palsy (CP), are honoured and loved.
In March 2019 Timion opened Alena's Love in a quiet residential area of Kwanobuhle, a township near Uitenhage, South Africa.
The centre is run by qualified Early Childhood Development (ECD) Facilitators and supporting staff members. The ground staff comprises families who have been part of Timion for numerous years and they each have experience with children who have disabilities.
Currently, the daycare hosts 6 children between the ages of 5 and 15 years. Each day is filled with group activities, snacks, songs, fresh food, individual stimulation and a Bible story reading.
Our vision is to expand Alena’s Love to host up to 16 children and create opportunities for families and the local community.
